The wisdom of Vedic Astrology is traced back to the Vedas which are ancient scriptures. At over 5,000 years old they are the oldest scriptures known to exist. The Vedas are the source of the wisdom of Ayurveda and Yoga.
Vedic Astrology is also called Jyotish, which is a Sanskrit word translated as the “Science of Light” Jyotish’s meaning can also be summarized as the scientific art of the divine cosmos and a means to study Kala (time). Jyotish is the foundation of all Vedic sciences and is called the Eyes of the Veda.

Vedic Astrology can give deeper understanding into the unique planetary energies that you came in with at birth. It can also give you insight into your habitual ways of thinking and acting, your relationships with other people, and show opportunities to shift into greater awareness of what is working or not working in your life.

Many people use Astrology mainly as a predictive tool, I see it as more of a guiding tool to make better choices in the present, which therefore shifts future outcomes and potentials for personal fulfillment.

I use the Sidereal Zodiac.

Vedic Astrologers practicing in India use the Sidereal Zodiac. This zodiac is different than the zodiac that many people are familiar with in the West, which is the Tropical Zodiac. The zodiac shifts by 30 degrees, which means your Sun sign and other planetary placements may change in my interpretation of your chart.
